- Hi, my daughter Paige, almost 7 is very into horses. I was similar when younger, helped at a barn, taught lessons, eventually owned a horse in my teenage years. She has had a handful of lessons, but really needs taught how to find her seat, keep reigns short, positioning, control etc. She is very much a beginner. We tried TES but the horses seemed really old and tired, it was odd. I'd like her to try somewhere else to see if there is a more engaged learning experience where she can learn to move a horse with her body and really learn to ride vs someone chasing a horse which a rope.
