Los Padres Endurance Ride

Los Padres Endurance ride, on April 25th and 26th, in Santa Margarita Ranch, which is a gigantic ranch that surounds the town of Santa Margarita (inland from San Luis Obispo). It was one of the most beautiful places to ride I've ever been in!

Lynn rode Koko and I rode Sky. Lynn brought a friend, Ellen, who rode her gated arab Feather.

This ride was a 2 day ride, where we rode two 50 mile rides (one each day). We took it really easy since it was Koko's first 2-day and Sky's first 2-day AND 50!

The first day we came in very happily in the rear of the pack, but on the second day Feather was pulled at the half-way point for lameness. Lynn was hoping Koko would get pulled to because Lynn was really tired :) But Koko and Sky trudged on! Unfortunately in the wrong direction! We got lost and ended up doing an extra 6 miles! But we made it in, 4 minutes before the cut-off! Last place but complete!
